The Republican specialized boarding school for art of Bakhshi was established

The Government adopted a resolution “On the organization of activities of the Republican Center for Bakhshi Art and the Bakhshi Art Development Fund under it” (No. 798, 08/23/2019). In accordance with the Resolution starting from the 2019/2020 academic year, a Republican specialized boarding school for the art of Bakhshi is being created on the basis of the Bakhshi school No. 21 in the Termez city. One of the main tasks of the boarding school is to provide in-depth training for students in the art of Bakhshi. Admission to the boarding school begins in the academic year 2021/2022. Also, starting from the 2020/2021 academic year, the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan organizes educational trends in the art of Bakhshi and storytellers. The resolution also approved the Regulation on the procedure for the formation and use of funds of the Bakhshi Art Development Fund. According to the Regulation, one of the main tasks of the Fund is to promote the further development of Bakhshi art, the comprehensive support of Bakhshi poets, akyns.
